“Architecture is a beautiful combination of divine inspiration, human artistic expression and collaboration that produces environments which reflect the philosophies, values and personal needs of the people who use the buildings created. Excellent design serves people by providing them with security, comfort, convenience, and quality beyond utilitarian value.” –– Christopher Brown
This philosophy was foundational to the vision which helped launch ARCHITECTUS back in 2001. It’s founder, Christopher Brown, wanted to create a progressive design firm which included both architecture and interior design. His belief was simple, excellent design required the collaboration of both. This collaborative design philosophy has resulted in developing a firm which has an innovative approach to design, construction and professional service. ARCHITECTUS, which in latin menas master builder only seemed appropriate for the name of this new company. ARCHITECTUS’ contemporary signature style uses simple architectural forms and sophisticated applications of color resulting in an elegant blend of modern and traditional styles.
Since 2001 ARCHITECTUS has focused on designing and producing projects for luxury residential clients, hospitality and museum organizations. Having designed many homes over the years ARCHITECTUS is proud to be developing a contemporary eco-friendly prototype model home. Having served hospitality clients both domestically and internationally, ARCHITECTUS has proudly designed the boutique hotel known as Trader’s Ridge found on the island of Yap, Micronesia and is currently working on the concept drawings for a new boutique hotel in Jamaica. ARCHITECTUS’ commitment to customer service has allowed them to form a 10 year relationship with the Museum of Latin American Art and the Robert Gumbiner Foundation where they have assisted them with their $6,000,000 museum expansion project as well as other capital improvements and overall campus master plan.
